@amattn is the short handle for myself, Matt Nunogawa. I've been been developing for over 30 years and have been a manager for over a decade. I've got extensive experience in a few primary areas of focus. In no particular order:
I love technology. In particular I love automation, Go, Python, Type Safety, smart compliers, readable code, resilient/reliable code/systems.
As a manager, I stress empathy and psychological safety. Growing and developing the people who report to me and the people who report to the people who report to me is very important. Prioritization, alignment and setting expectations are near-universally better than micro-managing. I bias toward honesty and transparency.
As a hiring manager, my priorities are the candidate experience, promotion of the opportunity, speed and filtering
